Tunze test kits ?

I just noticed the two kits I got this week expired 03-2008.

Are these good for any extended period after the expiration?

Will using it after the expiration skew the accuracy? I have the calcium and alkalinity boxes.

Finally, I believe my old salifert kits are way off, are these good kits to use?

Thanks!

Salifert alk kits have had problems of late. I have had two different lots, both were defective. As for the expiration on your Tunze kits I don't know, I will say I have used other brands after the expiration and they worked fine compared to fresh reagents. In fact I have some Hach reagents that are years expired and they are still spot on.

Our test kits are made by Machery Nagel and ISO certified, they are really great kits. Salifert is an excellent kit as well. From my experience the kits generally are good up to a year after the expiration date but it depends on the conditions they are stored in, light and heat can affect the shelf life.
