Tunze TS07 kit - questions on power and controller

Hey Roger,

I'm considering getting a Turbelle TS07 kit, with the single 6000 and the single controller. My question is on the power control of the controller itself. I'd be putting this in a 90 gal tank on the end of the tank, pointing directly to the opposite side of the tank. I'm curious if A) this might be too much flow for the aquarium? and B) Will the controller let me define a maximum output top end limit so I can basically dial down the stream output to something more reasonable for the 90g tank? All the pictures of the single controller I can find online are so small that I can't see what those control knobs actually do :D

Any help or advice would be appreciated!!

Oh yeah, is there any chance any of the magnetic stream holders will be in stock anyplace in the near future? Every place I've checked is out of stock right now, and that's really the only way I'd be able to mount this on the side of my tank, since my canopy rests on the upper edge of my tank.

The magnet holders are starting to come in again but I need many more to get caught up so I don't know when they will actually be in stock anywhere.

You set both a maximum and minimum and I think even full 100% isn't too much for a 90 gallon. The other knob is for the pulse interval which is set from 1-7 sec between the two speeds.

Excellent! Thanks a ton Roger! :D After hearing that 100% wouldn't be too bad in the 90 I think I'll go ahead and order one :) Thanks again for the quick response.

Ok, one more question, since I've been thinking about this for the past 24 hours --- would I be better off then stepping up to the TS12 kit with the 6100 that'll do 3175 gal/hour on the off chance I ever upgrade to a bigger tank? If I can dial down the output anyway to say 30% - 70% on the top end, it shouldn't matter, right? Any downsides to never running the stream to its full potential?

Are the dimensions of the 6100 roughly the same or is it a much larger pump? Thanks again :D

The pumps are the same size, infact they are the same except for the transformer. At it's lowest power a 6100 might be OK but without the pulse feature you kind of lose the point to having it over the 6060 or 6080. You can upgrade a 6000 to a 6100 later so I would just buy the 6000.

Ah ok, I'll just go with the 6000 then :) Thanks again Roger!
