you may want to ask in the tunze forum as I know there are a few controllers out there that are not compatiable with tunze's
Looking back to his post, Roger had said it is not ideal if it was switched on and off rapidly and they locked up, and to expect a shorter life on the pump.
The controllable pumps were not really meant for on/off use, they are designed to be controlled with a 0-10v contoller.
Why not look out in the used forums for a used 7095? They go for $90-$120....considering that the JBJ OceanPulse is about $65 (assuming I have the right one) you are already pretty close to the 7095. You could even find the predecessor to the 7095- the 7094- for even cheaper. You would also have far more control and nightime currents.
Hi,I have a Tunze 6065 (1724 gph) and it is non-controllable, I bought a prop and a Silence Clamp from roger (great guy). When I first got it, I plugged it and out several times very fast, if you do that the prop will lock up and chip, so definitely do not use the non-controllable pumps with a wavemaker, I did ask Roger about putting my pumps on a 3 hour cycle with a timer and that is fine. If I remember correctly, he said not to turn on and off within 15 minute cycles.
you have tunze 6000 pumps without pucks? the pucks are what powers the pumps you need to have them to use on any controller
