Tunze wave action

What kind of wave action do the controllers create? I'm looking at the 6000 with controller kit. What is the min/max time interval between flow changes?

The Single controller lets you set two speeds between 30% and 100% of power, every 1-6 seconds as you set the pump switches between these speeds. On a 125 you will need 2 6000's and the multicontroller would give you much more versatility because you can also alternate pumps and set each independently. A 6000 only gives 4ft of flow so one will not cover the aquarium.

It will depend on how fine the sand is, placement, rock layout etc. It is good for about 5ft of flow. You will have no possibility of wave action though outside of a simple timer at one hour intervals.

I have a Seio on one side now that I was going to keep and eventually replace also. It all comes down to how much I want to spend.

Just keep in mind the Seio flow pattern is very different so don't get the perspective that the 1800gph from a 6000 will be double the Seio's 800 in reach. A seio generates a hollow ring of flow. The Stream creates a full column of flow. As a result the reach is about the same, i.e. the pressure is about the same.
