tunze wavebox and acrylic tanks?

I have a 240G acrylic tank that is 3/4" thick. As with most acrylic tanks, i have three small openings at the top of the tank and the rest are the bracings. My overflow box is in the middle. I'm thinking of getting a wavebox but

1) Is is possible to even mount it on the side?
2) If so, would i get any waves at all?

It would work but you would have to have 2 magnet holders 6200.50. You also would need about 1.5" from water surface to the bottom of the brace to accomodate the wave.
