Iv'e had my eye on a 6'' piece from a LFS. It's a beauty!
What care should I give it, if I do decide to buy. I have 4x39w T5s on a 24'' high tank. I want to buy it soon so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've had the one in the far right for 2 1/2 years now, under a 250w 10k XM bulb with actinics. It has easily doubled in size in that time and seems to be doing well.

Here are some pics of my turbinaria corals, I was very interested to see a yellow turbinaria in the tank above - I've recently bought one and after I got it came across a thread on here suggesting that yellow cup corals are often dyed and that the colour of it will probably fade over a month or so. I was rather fed up at this as you can imagine, so I was very pleased to see a 2 year old yellow turbinaria in rhdoug's tank. Gives me some hope that mine might be a natural colour.
The yellow and blue turbinarias I've only had for 2 weeks. The scroll reniformis I've had for 4 months and it seems to be thriving. the only specific care requiremnet is apparently to flush it of detritus regularly although I haven't ever found that to be a problem so far. I have all them about half way up my tanks.

colletem, I've got three different reniformis colonies, all bright yellow, but a round, blue colony I have was bought as a peltata

Here's what I bought as peltata, but reading Borneman, it's for sure a Turbinaria, I'm not willing to go to the species level now.

sorry to hijack... but should i be worried about this

it use to be a nice white colour but these brown spots showed up after my tank move...

i will post pics of the full coral tomorrow as my lights just went out.

Well, isn't Peltata the only turbinaria that regularly has its polyps out in the daytime? That seems to be a pretty good way to differentiate that species at least. . .assuming I'm remembering correctly.
