Frozen Roadkill

My big ol' Mexican turbo snail has been constantally plagued by hydroids. My brother told me they sting like crazy, so I would wipe them off with a paper towel. The next day, as it only took 1 day to grow back, the process was repeated. It went on like this for a while but was okay. But then black circles showed up where the hydroids kept coming up, like they had eaten away a top crust of the shell. This was in two spots. So fed up, my brother suggested I squirt ELIMI-AIPTA on those 2 spots, let it dry for a second, and let the snail on his way. It has eliminated my hydroid problems, but he just went strait to the corner of the tank and sat. I took him out, he went strait back. Now, 2 days later, its like he can't crawl up. I stick him to the glass, halfway up or so, and he walks strait to the bottom part of the glass next to the sand and goes back to his corner, following the glass closest to the sand. Im afraid he is dying. He wont move, just goes back to his spot and sits. I really like this guy. He is my first turbo snail, and faithfully cleaned TON of that grass like algae from every surface of my tank and has kept it down. He's like a big ol' gentle cow.
Is he dying? Is there no hope? Anything I can do?
Thanks!
