Turbo snail tank crashers

My urchin does the job of 8 snails, still knocks stuff over from time to time but not too bad.

I removed several posts here, if you can't actually be helpful how about not posting?

The only solution to turbo snails knocking stuff over I have found is to remove them. They remodel my tank on a regular basis. Nothing you can do about except glue/epoxy stuff down.

Two in tank now and one giant in the sump. I was hoping the brittle star would eat the snail while he slept but that didn't happen. Maybe I'll just go without for a while and see if the sea stars keep it clean. Any one want some turbo snails??

I don't have any hair algae to feed it. Damn it feels good to say that finally! What were you keeping them for? I mean what kind of algae? I have found a kind of snail to take care of just about every niche in my tank. Maybe take them back for credit (not much) or see who has an algae problem.

I don't know what they are eating. Something though since they are alive and growing! Maybe they are rooting like a Javalenia for food, thats why they are knocking everythinig over.

Mine start to die off once they don't have a large amount of food to eat. For that reason alone I usually only purchase about 2 at a time. All my other snails eat less so I never have die off on those unless they get shelljacked by a hermit.

When I first started I had really shaky rockwork and I have boycotted turbos ever since they collapsed and crushed everything. Learned two lessons that day.

Put one in the sump then had a epiphany of it sleeping under the float and flooding the house. They have been re-homed. Now I need small snails to do their job? Maybe the starfish will do it.

if you have you float by your return pump and use some eggcrate you can keep the beast contained
