Turbo Snails and Aragonite

I notice my turbos don't like to cruise the aragonite substrate. My tank has cycled through the bacteria stage and is on to the algae cycle. I'm starting to get some diatoms. I'm doing my best to maintain proper parameters and my turbos are doing a bang up job on the rocks and glass. However, they don't likr to clean the aragonite.

What's a better algae substrate cleaner and is not a crab?

sand sifting starfish and fighting conch are good for substrate cleaning.

Nassarius snails, cucumbers, gobies,etc..
I would not recommend a sand sifting starfish on a 20G tank.. Just not enough potential for food to keep it fat/happy.

Brittle stars get BIG fast and no they are not algae eaters but rather detritus,etc...

And remember.. More than likely the diatoms will go away on their own in a little while..
