I was reading Miami's club forum and came across this thread. LMAO! I guess it may not be as funny without :beer: but it is with :beer: LMAO!!!

Rogger left my house about 2 hours ago, was helping me out with some stuff (thanks)... I had just moved the turbo snails from my display down to my refugium as they were knocking over some frags... After rogger leaves, I remember I left my cell phone on top of my stand... When I go downstairs, I hear my pump sucking air... "*** I just topped it off.." I am trying to find the problem by stepping in a puddle of water around my tank, getting electrocuted by the refugium light that was way to close to the water "Yes I am an idiot" and then when reaching for the turbos that are very clearly stuck in both drains that go to the sump I get electrocuted REALLY bad, basically to where I fall back and stunned... I then got ballsy enough to unplug everything - where I do get shocked for a third time and remove the turbos from the drain bulkheads, every single last turbo in my tank (around 6) and fed them to a grouper I am holding for a friend in another tank. Anyways in all end, I do get shocked 3 times, I have 15-20 gallons of water around the tank, removed the refugium light and turned everything back on OH and I also found out that my heater doesn't like me either so when I plugged him back in he shocked me too... thats a goner, have to get a new heater... Now I looked into my tank to make sure the livestock is ok, my new purple tang looks like its flipping out and I can't see any of my other fish... I am just hoping all my livestock is fine in the morning... Plus, I got to wake up at 9am this morning, can't even say tomorrow morning... What a damn day...

I'm crying with laughter, not only at him, but with him ~ knowing that "I'm and idiot too" and I'd do something like that. I just hope it's just water and not electricity!

Sometimes I wanna give em' a nice fresh water dip after they knock over all of my tank. Mine even knocked glass off the top of my tank and broke it the other night. Thought it was the sugar gliders knocking things around in there cage, come to find out in the morning that it was my f-ing turbo snail. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! oh well.

poor guy, we have all been there, or at least I have with getting zapped and lots and lots of water on the floor..........many times My worst "hate my hoby night" was when I fell asleep drip acclimating a stupid $10 fish. My drip was more a stream I guess! My return pump woke me up about 4 AM sucking air. Yep the missing 15 gallons was on the floor in the living room. Well 10 was, the other 5 was in the bucket! :lol:

Yea I killed all mine a coupel weeks ago. Had about 4 gallons of water on the floor and all down the front of the tank one day... "was like what the **** caused this"... anyways about two days later I saw it in action.

I have a 90 corner with a SQWD that pumps water from one side to the other... A turbo had crawled over the 1.5" fan that was partly out of water. When water started coming out of that side it wasn't enough pressure to knock off the snail seeing how its bigger than a golf ball, but instead makes a stream of water that runs down the inside of my canopy and directly into the floor.

Gotta love the turbos.

I will jump in with this group. My turbo's would get into the output for my hob skimmer and get stuck. Thus msking the water pour onto the floor. Lucky for me I was always at home and close, so I heard the water and it didn't make too much of a mess. Needless to say I returned them to my lfs and traded for some cerith and nass snails. no problems since.
