Turboflotor + Small Acrylic Sump = Confusion

I have a Turboflotor 1000 (in sump model) and a Pro Clear Wet/Dry. Problem is that the Turboflotor will not fit inside of the Wet/Dry filter. I know that there is some way to drill holes in the wall of the Wet/Dry and use bulkhead fittings in order to make this work, but I am not sure how to go about this. The OceanRunner pump needs to be submersed inside the sump. Please Help!! All advice is welcome here.
