turf algae

I have some red turf algae that came from a frag a few months back and it has grown to a 2x4inch on one of the rocks. I have a bta on the other side, but could I take out the rock and brush it with hydrogen peroxide to get rid of the turd algae? Would the small rbta be alright out of water for about 3-4 minutes, I'm thinking to keep it moist by spraying it with tank water through the process.

It should be o.k. for that. I have had several anemones shipped to me in bags with about a tablespoon of water in them. They all made it fine.

To be safe keep the peroxide off the animals tissue. Turf is tough, you may need some serious brushing. A dremel w/ stainless brush will make short work of it.

I had some red turf algae that was spreading. Mexican trubo snails took care of it quiclky. But make sure they are the Mexican turbos. Other turbos wont touch the stuff, specially the Zebra turbos.
