turn sump to refugium??

I was looking to convert an Oceanic sump into a refugium. In Order to do this I need to know the best way to glue acrylic to glass. Any suggestions....maybe plain old silicone??? thanks!

From what i've heard.glass and acrylic don't go too well,but in a low flow situation,it should work with plain silicone.If you use sand in your fuge,it might put a lil more presure on the baffle or baffles. I would thing you could super glur some square acrylic verticly next to the baffle,then silicone it.This will give the baffle something stong to "push" against i would think. I would try the second method to be on the safe side.

thanks do you now if regular household silicone is ok or does it have to be aquarium silicone?

Regular silicone should work as long as it does'nt have any mildew resistant agents in it.
