Turtles were released just after 9:00 pm.

Do you guys gather up the eggs before they hatch specifically to release the babies after dark? I'm guessing this is done to protect them from predators (birds?)?

No, they go through the nests that have already hatched and look for stragglers. They bring them out to the beach every night to release what they find. March through Oct.
