Twin Spot Wrasse Want To Revenge

Well, my return pump is down today while i am at work. Received a phone call from my wife said my tank is half full and water is all over the garage. I have her restart the iwaki MD40RLXT return pump couple times but no luck. I have to call Yinger over to figure out the problem. Anyway, he thought something is wrong with the bearing or the pump is burn out. After an hour of frustration finally we decided to siphon the water from the sump into the tank and have the tunze keep the circulation going. Anyway, i got home, took the pump apart. After removed the impeller housing i found the twin spot wrasse got stuck inside the impeller. Well, the tank is now up and running. Hopefully nothing will happen to the corals.

Cheesh, I thought you said it won't go in there. I don't think any thing will happen to your tank though.

P.s is the Wrasse still up for grab?

My return is kinda low, so the water siphon back into the sump and the sump can only hold so much water not half of the tank. I already have approx 40g of water in the sump + half of the tank water. I already get it fix and it will not happen again. I know there is thing call swing check valve. Already mount my George fisher check valve yesterday.

There was no need for a check valve (they always fail eventually). A couple of small siphon holes drilled into the returns just below the surface would have prevented any siphoning no matter how low your return is in the water. The only water you would have to plan for is the water going over the overflow.
