Hi,Im getting a 200g tank soon and had planned on having a external overflow box with two 1 inch holes, one drain one return.Do you think this is sufficient if i want to gravity feed a deltec ap702 from one drain and use the other as a return? Is there a benifit or need for 3 or 4 holes?Im not panning a CL or anything.I will have a sump/refuge supplyed by a tee on the return line.

Thanks...

I THINK A 1 INCH DRAIN DRAINS ~600GPH SO ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A PUMP? I WANT SOMETHING SUBMERSIBLE AND QUIET MAYBE A EHIEM,BUT I AM TEEING SOME FLOW TO THE FUGE OF THE RETURN LINE SO MAYBE A PUMP WITH A LITTLE MORE THAN 800GPH SO HEAD LOSS AND REFUGE SUPPY CAN BE ACCOMIDATED.

I have 2) 1 1/2" drains on my 125. The return pump is a 1200 gph, allow for head loss ~1050. The 1 1/2's keep up but are working. Your going to want ~15-1600 gph. They might be to small.
My 150 kept up to a 1200 gph with 3) 1" bulkheads. Remember interior diameter loss traveling through pipes and hoses.

The ehiem 6052 at 4 ft head gives 692gph,and a 1inch drain is ~600 gph.I only have one drain so will this work out, remember i am teeing of a little flow for the refug from the return line also.Hopefully this will be ok to gravity feed the ap 702 also, what do you think of this?also the sump/fuge is directly under the tank so 4 ft is the max head.
