I added two small clownfish to a 24 gal. reef tank. One of them grew large and became a bully. I believe it has killed the smaller one. I didn't think that clownfish would attack each other but apparently I'm wrong.
The big one is a female. The smaller one was supposed to be a male but maybe it matured into a female before you put them together. Get a new immature fish and it should become a male to adapt to the female you already have.
They were purchased from the same place (in the same tank) at the same time and placed in my tank at the same time. Seemed to get along originally until the one got larger. Don't think I would introduce another clown.
