I did the water lowering method last week and caught all but two(firefish and a watchman goby)in my 400gal reef. I have set up a trap, a small fly hook with bait, and I just dropped the water down again today, but still no luck catching the last two. What do you think the chances of ich surviving in the tank with just these two fish? Both are very healthy, show no signs ich or anything else, and both are eating like pigs.

IMO, I would ich to survive in any tank that contains fish. Just one parasite, feeding unseen in the gills, is all it takes to keep the life cycle going. As long as a fish host is present; ich could survive indefinably with no fish showing visible signs. Parasites are very tough and adaptable. When you get the ich eliminated, I hope you'll use a QT with all new fish and avoid this problem permanently.
