Two MP40.. Can one be qd and one be old ES model?

Do they work together still? I have two MP40wES... one of them just broke.. Can I just buy a new MP40wQD and leave the other one as is? Will they sync and work together well?

The new QD models are compatible with older ES VorTechs. Additionally, they will communicate assuming both are wireless models.
