Two Nems in one Tank

Hello, I have a small gbta in my 46 gallon tank. i also have two saddleback (A. polymnus) clowns that were introduced into the system about a month ago. Im wanting to get an H. crispa for the saddlebacks to host in. Will the bta and sebae nems hurt each other? Thank you very much.

Im not sure that a H cridpa and bta will work that same tank but bta and Haddoni will! I have the same pair that you do in the same tank with 3 RBTA and a Blue haddoni and all has been well. Post some pics of the new guys.!!!!!!!!!!!! Also if the tank has been up for 6 mthas your experience indicates i would wait a bit to allow the tank to mature before introducing a more difficult anemone!

Most experts recommend different species of anemones not be kept together long-term in anything but a very large aquarium. The concern is allelopathy between the anemones. However, some people do keep different species and appear to have success with them. At the very least, you would want to have an excellent protein skimmer and regularly change the activated carbon.

Thanks for the advice. I was planning on waiting several months before adding the H. crispa. The tank really is too young for a nem right now, but my brother's 75 gallon where the bta had been kept was having serious problems, and we felt that it would be less risky to put him in my 46. I will probably move the bta back to my bro's tank before adding the sebae, which should be several months at least. Ill try and post some pics of the clowns tomorrow evening.
