Two Questions

Can I keep a Chevron tang (Ctenochaetus hawaiiensis) and sailfin tang (Desjardin's Sailfin) in the same 75 gal tank?

I'm also getting tired of messing with the two-part additives and was considering a Ca++ reactor. The specs on most seem to be for tanks in the hundreds of gallons and I have a 75g with 55g sump/refugium with SPS & LPS with a couple of softies. Does anyone have experience with Ca++ reactor and smaller tanks?

Thanks,
Tim

i would not put the 2 tangs in that size tank.
i would think they would end up killing each other.

The reactor is adjustable and you can achieve your target levels by changing the effluent ph and or volume.

A 75 gal will work for a sailfin for a short time. While they are extremely small. Sailfin tang grow huge and need a lot of room. Add that with any other tang and you could have problems down the road. With a 75 gal I would stick with one small tang, and that is only if you plan on upgrading down the road. Otherwise for the tang's sake you will need to find him a new home.

I wouldnt put them together (the tangs)

what a calcium reactor is rated for is nothing just a good guess from the maunfactor

(the bigger the reactor the less you have to push it) also get a reverse flow reactor and use a good media
