two sebeas together

Would having two sebeas together cause a problem? I have a pair of ocellaris clowns in one small sebea and I would like to add another so they have more room. The second nem would be pretty large. They are two different color variations too. (if that matters)

Assuming that your tank can support another anemone, it will be fine. Different color morphs don't matter. Over the years I have kept the same species in the same tank without issue, some even touching. I currently have a blue Haddoni and a green one in my 58, my 75 has a tan one and a striped green one.

I currently have 2 H. crispas in a 75 and they are doing awesome!!!

I was hoping I could put second one in the clowns' corner and touching. Would this be recommended? Or should I put them close, but not touching and allow them to get "acquainted" over time.. The tank is a lightly stocked 155g. I wanted the clowns to be able swim in and around both anemones with the variation of color in that corner. Hmmm...

Did you say that the other anemone is on the smaller side? Given the size that Sebaes can obtain I would actually be concerned about the larger one shading out the smaller one. Granted, anemones will pick the final location I would actually give them some space b/t them -- not for fear of touching, but because of what I mentioned above.

For a while I had 2 LTAs together in a 29 while I was waiting to sell them. One was overgrowing (( for lack of a better term )) the other one. If I was keeping them I would have had to intervene, since the purple one wasn't getting enough light.

Oh I see now, thanks for sharing. Yes the large one is about 12" across. I do have PLENTY of room if I need it though. I have the large one in my 29 and the small one in a 155. Maybe I'll just swap them around and keep them apart. The pair of clowns really need the bigger sebea, they seem to be stressing out the smaller one by digging into it. They are trying to get in between the rocks that the sebea placed itself. Or I suppose I could just move the outer rock from the small sebea...

i'd like another sebae in my 100g (sps reef), too. however, i don't know about long term compatibility if it turns out one is H. malu and the other H. crispa - anyone??

mine is doing fine touching each other. They are either both H. malu or H. crispa or one of each. They are together for 4 years now but don't growth very big but i don't feed them much either
