TWP Consignment Sale 3/19

Chuck at TWP said to give them a call if you have any questions about sizes of tanks that they will have in for the sale or for any other questions. He did you to me the other day that they were going to have new, drilled tanks for the event.

Here's the number again: 314-849-4020

Steve, do you know what the discounts will be?

Seems like the mark up on tanks is so small they can't discount too mcuh more than they already discount normally. But they don't normally carry drilled tanks either I don't think.

Like I says,
Better than Christmas Prices.

TWP get those wholesalers to cut them a break as a reward for spending so much with them over the entire year. So TWP spend their reward on the customers again for spending their money with TWP. It's really a Thank-You sale for all the people who supported them throught out the year(s).

If you put items up for sale there, do you have to be there at the end of the sale in case your items don't sell and you have to pick them up? In other words, if you have something there that doesn't sell, they're not going to set it aside and store it anywhere for you, correct?

Dave,

If you need me to run by and get something for you that's not a problem - I live 10 minutes away.

Shooter I did ask John your question about do you have to be there during the sale if you are selling. He said you do not have to be there. I assume that if your item does not sell, you have to go pick it up or ask them to throw it in the dumpster.

Since I live around the corner from TWP, I will pick up your item for you (as long as I can lift it and fit it in my car) and store it a short time for you if that helps.

Thanks. I am planning right now on taking my 26 gal bow tank/stand, CPR aquafuge, and PC light over there and trying my luck with them that way. All are in great condition so I'm hoping they'd sell for sure and fast this way. I know I went to this last year and you had to be quick on some items to get them.

Last year, the only things that did not sell was a complete destroyed 29 gal tank and the completely demolished stand it came in on.

You betcha...I'll send you a little kickback too Jx. :D

btw, one more question, do people try to negotiate prices on stuff there? I wouldn't think that would be very possible if the sellers aren't all there, but thought I'd ask anyway.

TWP said that you can give them a regular price and a low price when you drop the stuff off. If you give them a low price, and your item has not sold by 2:30-3:00, they will lower the price for you to try and sell the item. They do not really want to negotiate pricing with a possible seller. Hope that answers the question.
