Hey folks! TWP is having their annual consignment sale this weekend. If you've never been there, you can get some steals. There are usually quite a few tanks and sumps looking for new homes as well as some other great deals. You can also sell your used equipment if you're looking to offload anything. Just give them a ring for details.

Where: Tropical World Pets
8444 Watson Rd.
St. Louis, Mo 63119
(314) 849-4020

When: March 18, 11AM-5PM
Seller Drop off times: March 17, 12PM-3PM & March 18, 7AM-10AM
Bring your items in clean and ready to sell condition.
10% commission fee applies.
No live goods can be in the consignment sale.

Is anyone planning to attend & are you buying or selling? I've never gone before, but it sounds interesting. I hope they don't end up w/ too many green faces after St. Patty's Day!

I'll probably go. It's important to get there early if there is something specific you want. People begin lining up at about an hour before opening. Everything they sell will be on sale.

Yep, get there early. I've sold and purchased at the consignment sale. They do get a crowd. If you are going there with the intent of buying something specific, get there early and walk around the area they have cordoned off and see if you can spot what you're after. Two years ago I went there hoping to find a stand for my 29g QT. I spotted a stand that looked like about the right size, was the only one I saw in there, so I got in the line that was already forming and stood around for the next half hour while the line got bigger. As soon as they opened things up, I went straight to the stand and claimed it as mine, then made sure it was the right size. lol Had it marked as mine, THEN I went browsing around to see what else was there. Last year I sold a light and HOB refugium there. Not planning on going this year, though.

I dropped off my tank this morning and they had quite a bit of stuff, larger tanks, canister filters, lots of lights, some skimmers and my sweet 44 gallon corner tank.

Check it out guys lots of great stuff.

I dunno I didn't really check them out, if forced to guess......90 maybe a 120 or a 150, didn't check prices. I was there a little past 7 and they were still bringing things out.
