UGHHHH broke the ceramic shaft in my skimmer

So today I thought I would clean out my ASM skimmer as it wasnt performing to its best. I take everything out of my sump, and take the impeller out of the sedra 5000 pump. I clean everything and pull 3 small snail shells out of the pin wheel. While walking across the room to where the skimmer is so I can put it back in, the ceramic shaft slips out of the assembly and shatters on my floor. What do I do?! anyone have an extra laying around or know where I could buy one locally today? I dont know exact length as i'm sure there are still pieces on my floor. I called CF and they said they cant get parts but would gladly sell me a new sedra 5000 pump for $180- so im hoping there is a cheap fix

Great Pumps for sure. Likely due, in part, to the shaft design. I have heard they do not sell replacements. Your chances of finding one is slim..... Better bite the bullet and get that skimmer running!

Give ABC in Fairport a call. One never knows what G has accumulated over generations of aquarium hobby & service.

When I have been in this position (something hard to replace & is inergral to my system breaks) - buy 2 while you are at it. Skimmer insurance policy for $20.

Just thinking outloud
