UK sources of pickling lime???

I am completely googled out..

Where in the UK can I purchase Lime Water or equivelant.

Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know much about UK sources, but I'm sure there are some. We buy it on line at US mail order places (www.mrswages.com for example), at local grocery and farm stores that sell it for canning, or from aquarium supply places.

Anyone know of UK sources for pickling lime or food grades of calcium hydroxide or oxide? I changed the thread title to try to attract folks with such info.

Thanks Randy,

As far as I can find out, all we use over here is vinegar for pickling,
not to worry I can acquire the equivelant from Marine suppliers.
