Hi Roger,
Hope all is well!
I employ the full ZEOVit method in my tank. I can say from personal experience that good things happen slowly and bad things happen quickly. The ZEO Method can take a couple months to almost a year for it to really have an effect. My tank is at the 8 month mark and has just started to really show improvement. One issue that has plagued ULNS tanks is pale colors. When you employ the ULNS methodology, you are lowering nutrients to lessen the population of zooxanthale in the coral. The purpose of lowering the population of zooxanthale is to show the colorful pigmented flesh below. When doing this, the coral relies heavily upon additional food sources since the zooxanthale are no longer supplying the majority of the food.
So how long will it take to get that "POP" in color, I would give it at least three months. That is a very quick expectation, though. Of course you can try to get the pop in color sooner with products such as ZEOSpur, but you need to be EXTREMELY careful with this product as you can cause bleaching and death with an overdose.
You are welcome to swing by my place and check out my ZEO Tank. I can show you successes as well as some issues that I have dealt with. IMHO, ZEOVit does exactly what it is supposed to do. If your a hands on type of reefer and do not mind the extra maintenance, then this may be a method for you.
Warmest Regards,
James
