Umbrella Mushrooms

My LFS has a single mushroom polyp that I think might be an Umbrella Mushroom. I really like the way it looks, almost like an open umbrella with the ribs and points along the edges. It is a very nice dark green with light metallic green "ribs".

The downside is that it is rather expensive, $55 for one polyp.
They told me that wholesale it was $45 for the single polyp.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me more about this type of mushroom or post a picture of one in their tanks. I'm also curious about any other color morphs that exist for this variety.

Thanks in advance.

There a lots of color morphs, and green is the most common. However, lots of times they will have neon green rims, or orange rims, something like that. Unless its spactacular, 45.00 is a rip off. You can get common ones from saltwaterfish.com for 7.99 and you can probably find them from one of the florida internet sellers for just a little more.

If these are what your talking about, saltwaterfish.com is now having a sale on them for 5.99.

Thanks for the info everyone.

I haven't bought it yet, and now I don't think I will for that price.

spsboy: That's what it looks like, but without the red center. That's a nice morph.

Thanks again everyone. I'll check out those sites now.
