UN Mount...Is This Easy??

I wish to Un Mount my first frags so I can place them. I think the Mount looks completely ridiculous . I knew the pieces I bought were mounted but did not give it much thought until i looked at them for a few days. Even in the sand I see the disc right now and I think....Note: Only buy un mounted from now on. But, for these 6 I want to know if a razor can do it at the epoxy spot ...or can I snap them off by hand. Torch, hammer, Candy Stick(sp)...one stem or so each, very small.

I have zero experience , so what you say will help me chalk this up to lesson learned. Thanks.

It would help if you told us what kind of coral are on the frags plugs.if you just want to get rid of The stem piece, you can cut that with dykes, bone cutters, or a dremel

Torch, hammer, and candy cane can all be broken off. There is no issue with breaking the skeleton where there is no flesh.

Sorry, didnt see the list off corals before. Yes, you can snap them off the plug. Grab them at the lowest point and just twist. They should pop right off.

Thank you both. Its ok Fishman , I actually added the kind of coral in an eddit after I posted. LOL it was not there for a few...kinda made you wonder why you had not seen it

Nope, the flesh stops at the ends. You're good to just pop those types off. And when they get growing, you can break pieces off easily to frag.

Great! Can you believe I am so new to the coral stuff that this is the first time I knew this. I also noticed my torch (the one with clear like arms and florescent green tips) at first had only tiny arms. and now they are almost 1/4 inch. I am guessing they are growing or finally coming out. From what I hear if the tip is just flesh then mine are growing already.
