Under Aquarium Cleaning / Salt Buildup

Hey guys, I'm starting off with a new clean build and I want to keep it looking nice. I've seen a lot of your under tank shots and I'm wondering what you do and how often to keep it clean.

I'm starting to see salt build up on basically all my surfaces. Are you cleaning cords, and everything on a weekly basis?

I usually need to wipe down the inside of my cabinet once every 6-9 months or so. If you are having issues on a weekly basis I suspect something is amiss. Is there a lot of micro-bubbles in your sump leading to salt creep?

nah nothing crazy. I suppose I could extend my downspout into the sump so it doesn't splash around.
