Joint meeting with Meetup.com groups

We go out for dinner afterwards and it is a blast!

I would like to go again Colin...i will tell Karen! Thats the day after the club meeting at my house!

Since I've never been to MOSI, I need some clarification.
Is there an admission fee into MOSI in addition to the cost of the movie?

Id like to go. Id really like to see the bodies thing anyway. I went to the last one and it was very neat. Maybe Steph and I can make it out. :)

good, with your mechanical background, I can't see how you could resist something like MOSI, at least once anyway, even if it is not that great a science museum

Make sure you check out the bulb on display that lights the projector for IMAX
15,000 watt watercooled zenon arc Ushio bulb.
Maybe I put one of those on top of my 144g

didn't know that about the bulb, there are other people coming from other Meetup.com groups, we will have enough for the discount

So do you tell them at the window that you are with the group to get the group discount?
I would love to make it but until I find out if my son is going paintingballing or not I will not know if we can make it.

I have seven people coming from my 50 & Fun Meetup.com group, we meet in the lobby, like it says, pay cash to one person and they get the tickets, should be great! I saw T Rex in IMAX 3D and it was awesome!

Guess I should fully read next time, huh.
So just to clarify you don't have to pay to get into Mosi just pay to see the movie correct?

So I guess we all just look for Colin near where you buy the tickets. We'll give him the cash and he can get the tickets.

there will be a large group, if Mark is there, he usually handles the ticket purchase and will make an anouncement

I look forward to seeing everybody, will bring my new hobby: a blonde Republican!

FYI - I saw this last weekend at MOSI with my girlfriend.

Honestly....I thought it was O.K, but have seen a lot better on Discovery HD. I had not been to MOSI in a long time and one of the things that disappointed me the most was the picture quality. S Video shown on a huge screen with a lot of distortion around the edges, and an over-all "video tape" quality. Hard to be excited about the picture after watching HD on a big screen for years. The sound was very good though. Cost for the two of us was $15 so that wasn't bad, and it was a nice way to spend some time on a Sunday.

I think the film was made with kids in mind, which is a good thing, but Jim Carey gets a little corny with the narration at times for adults.

Just my $0.02.............curious to see how others feel after they see it.
