Hey guys, just interested to see if there are any underwater cameras that can match up to the quality of DSLR shots with their macro lenses.

I'm After this sort of look - http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1764968 (have sent reef hot spot an email to enquire about their photography etc but would e interested to see if anyone on here could tell and maybe offer me some advice on what would be a good path to take).

Many thanks guys and G'day from Aus.

When you say "underwater camera" do you mean a camera that is waterproof out of the box or a camera with an underwater housing? I ask because there are underwater housings available for many DSLR cameras. They are not cheap, but they give you the best protection, and access to the best lenses.

I mainly shoot with a Canon DSLR, but for underwater, I shoot with a Panasonic.

It has an interchangeable lens, so if you wanted, you could attach a macro lens to it that would optically rival just about any lens out there:

Here are some older photos I took in my tank with the Panasonic and 20mm kit lens which is no slouch.
