are these triggers the wrecking balls people say, or can you house with other fish(preds).

They like to bite. They are usually cool for a while, then they get to be too much for the other fish to live with.

i love huma's best look fish and most of them are nicely tempered as far as triggers go

I have a 2" one in a 75gal by himself and I now have all the other fish in it with him to Quarantine. The only fish that he wont attack are the 6" Hawaiian black trigger and the 5" bluface angel. I have seen them do ok in a tank with other fish, as long as all of the other fish are bigger than it. EX. groupers snappers bigger triggers eels etc.

so you havent witnessed him taking nips or chunks out of the larger fish?

Nope, he seems to be timid around them. I tries to get food from them but often gives up. He is really harassing my smaller fish right now but there is not much more i can do because they are all in QT.

IMO every fish has it's place. Either alone or in a large tank with burly fish. As mentioned already Groupers,snappers etc....would be suitable Undy tankmates.

I think that even if it works for a while he will slowly get upset at other fish, nip at them and surely kill them over time....

hopefully espo72 reads this and sheds some light. I'd think his groupers would have no problems with the Undulate
