Unhappy alien eye?

My Alien Eye is in the middle to lower part of my tank, but decent lighting and is getting moderate flow. I started noticing white streaks on the coral. Is this the skeleton (similar to a brain coral) that is receding? I've not had a lot of experience with echino, what could be the cause and whatever it is, it does not blow off with a turkey baster. I do spot feed cyclopeeze.

Is this a fresh cut and mounted frag? If so, just needs time to heal. They are very hardy and heal fast if healthy. HTH.

I'm not sure if it is fresh cut or not, but I've had it for about 2 weeks and just noticed the white. Is there anything special I should do such as a dip or just leave it where it is?

I would leave it where you have it. It looks like it is still healing. Look at it at night and see if you see PE on it. Thats always a good sign.
