Unicorn Tang Spots

We added a Unicorn Tang to our 500gal tank the other day. All tank inhabitants are healthy, and so was the Unicorn when we put him in. There were no blemishes on him when we bought him, and none the first whole day he was in the tank. The second day in our tank I noticed there was this small whittish spot on his side and a spot on his side fin. This is the best picture of the spots that I could get. Any suggestions on what it is? We succesfully removed him from the tank and have him in a quaranteen tank ready for treatment if needed.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know what the bigger spot behind the eye is. It isn't a protozoan parasite (ich, velvet, etc.) IMO. I would expect it to just disappear. If it gets bigger, or otherwise changes, I'd let us know. Someone may know what it is, I think it could just be a scrape or minor skin irritation. There are worms that can leave spots that are similar. With the fish in the QT/HT, I'd treat with Prazi-Pro, a very safe wormer. The spot on the pec fin looks like it may be ich. I can't tell from the pic. If there are more similar spots or fish start scratching; you have serious problems. If it is ich and the tang was in your DT; your entire DT system has ich. It sounds like you didn't quarantine this fish. Tangs are very susceptible to ich and easily cured in the QT. I can't imagine adding any fish without quarantine. Not quarantining a tang going into a 500 gal tank is a nightmare waiting to happen. I hope I'm wrong on the fin spot, its just my best guess. I have a gut feeling it is ich, though. The size, shape, and location f the spot all seem to fit.
