I was changing out frag tanks today, after i moved the life rock from sump to sump i saw what i thought was a little fish swimming around. I was excited and thought wow thats awesome, but i caught it and it looked like a long maggot that swims just like a fish, and its fast.

anyone have any idea what this could be? I was thinking maybe some kinda fish parasite but i only have a damsel in this tank.

I will get pics and i think a video is neccesary when wifey finds the lost camera.
thanks,
jess

What color is it? Did you have any feather dusters in that tank? Cause if a feather duster drops it's corona and leaves its cocoon looking for another spot it will look like a black smimming worm.

it was white looked like a long maggot. it was white in color. i sat next to tank for a hour waiting to see him again when i found camera. of course it is like bringing your car to the mechanic, it ain't there when you need it to be.

i had something similar to what u said but it was green and came in a small zoo frag i bought. If you really cant find out what it is, being that worms are really hard to identify and find out if they are good are not...i would suggest trying to take him out. i doubt hes a worm that can be such a good benefit for your tank anyways...

he was too cool to kill and since he is only in the sump he can stay as an uninvited guest. if he does go through the pump he is chop suey.
