It has been said many times, especially lately...
Quarantine your livestock purchases/trades before putting them in your tank!!!
The picture below is of poor quality, but it is late and I don't feel like screwing around with a tripod. You'll get the point anyway. This pic is from the bottom of the bowl I just used to do a fresh water dip of a new zoa rock. The circles show almost a dozen zoanthid eating nudibranchs, and there are more in the bag. I am sure there are more in the pic, but as I said, it is late and I am tired of drawing little red circles.
The zoanthid rock that these came off of is gorgeous; probably close to a thousand polyps, great color, fully open, and from a perfectly respectable store. All I wanted to do at 11:00 o'clock tonight was to drop the zoas into my quarantine tank and go to bed at the end of a not overly pleasant day, but I dutifully followed my own "rules" and f/w dipped (zoa dip recipe is in the zoanthid forum). You can see the results. The zoos are now in their own bucket (not even good enough for the QT tank yet) until I can dip them a few more times tomorrow.
Be vigilant...You've been warned...AGAIN!!!
