Was lucky enough to receive a universal rocks background for Christmas. Now the tank project is moving along it's time to post a couple of pictures of the background. Stand and tank went together today, plumbing hopefully tomorrow afternoon along with wire organizing.. Doors need finish trim once the weather warms up, for now it'll be door less.

Leds at min in the first picture.

Lots of white on the leds to show the texture in the rock.

We ordered larger than required hoping to be able to wrap the background around the overflow. It's possible to wrap it but honestly would be a real pain to hold it in place while the silicone dried. The back of the background is a latex product but it's not perfectly flat. There are bumps and dips from the moulding process, where the bumps stick out makes it hard to get a consistent curve. On a flat surface it looks as if it will silicone into place with no issues.

Despite the above I would not hesitate to buy this background again. The color and texture are superb. Even though the total thickness is no more than about an inch there are plenty of nooks and crannies for corals and critters to get hold of (thinking GSP and zoas growing on it eventually). The general thickness is around 1/4 inch with a few slightly thinner spots. Cutting was realtively easy with a good knife (cut from the backside).

That background looks pretty cool where did you get it from

We bought the rocky because it wouldn't take up a lot of tank space, the website does have other versions as does Amazon and Dr Fosters & Smith.

Quick review on Your Fish Stuff as a store. We ordered the background and some freeze dried food just after Christmas. The food arrived very quickly and the website said 7 - 10 days for the background to be made.

A month later no background had arrived so we started playing email/phone tag to find out why. Eventually we got hold of each other and they couldn't have been more apologetic, they simply screwed up and forgot to order the background after shipping out the food. They expedited the background order for us, called to check it had arrived and then as way of apology also resent our entire freeze dried food order as well (definitely not a mistake as they asked what they could send as way of an apology).

Initial impression was grrrr but they apologized multiple times and and will definitely get another chance from us.
