I purchased this coral Saturday from my LFS. The owner thought it was a Candy Cane but looking at it and looking at other pictures of them it doesn't look like it. I would just like to get some other opinions of what it is. It sames to like the spot I've placed it in and does expand nicely during the day. It doesn't put out any feeding tenticles to catch food but has a sticky rim that that food does land on them it will close up around the food and pull it to the center. The photo is in my gallery and is sort of blurry but it does show the coral. I will try to get a better pic and post. Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jackie

Not a candy cane..for sure..some sort of acan or enchinata..would need a better picture when you can..

Better pic would definitely help, with more light. However, the pic in your gallery isn't enough to rule out a Candy Cane. There are darker varieties of Candy Cane. Better pics will narrow it down some. Does look like it could be an Acan. Are polyps on skeletal stems?

Here is a much better picture of the coral I'm talking about. Thanks for your help.
