Unknown fire red snail

Snails are mollusks so this should probably be in the "T. Clams and Other Mollusks" forum. Why does that forum read "and Other Mollusks" if snails aren't included?

Anyway, check out this nifty red snail I found zipping along my tank glass. It's about 1" long and has feathers coming from its sides. I scooped it out to take a better look and it has a shell. It didn't look like it was eating algae as it moved by so I wasn't sure what to make of it but since I run a no-kill facility in my tank, I put it back in.

Here are some pics. Anyone know what this is? (Or why that thread reads "and Other Mollusks"?)

Looks like a cowrie, don't know which one though.

Whatever it is, it's burrowing into the sand now.
