unknown specs on my glass can not identify

I have some new specs developing on my glass main tank and sump. They apear not to move at all small about 1/16 of an inch across white looks to be shaped like an abolonie or a limpet.

copopods probably(zooplankton)--good for the tank--everything eats them
 
are they calcium based, ie, hard and/or sharp? also, if you look REEEALLY closely, do they have little feather duster's coming out of them? I got these a LOONG time ago and don't remember the details, but I scraped them off the glass with a razor blade and eventually they stopped appearing. :)

no need to worry--there are many varieties in the water that you can't see. There will be a time when you want zooplankton in your tank for feeding corals and some fish such as mandarine gobies who only eat copopods
 
I need to reseed my tank with pods, I haven't seen a single one of those guys since I had a sixline a while back. :(
 
these dont seem to be copepods, they have a calcium shell but are not dusters have thoes also look simply like a white bump on the glass domed on the out side flat againstthe glass
