Not sure if this is the right forum, I have a coral that I have no idea what it is or how to frag it. Any suggestions would be great.

 Now you have LOL

My old ones used to do that, and they pack a huge wallop if you got tagged with their palytoxin or paly goo.... personal experience.:hmm1:

yes they do grow and very thick and when they get a foot hold of your main rocks they can take over it in now time. I usually put them in their own little island.

Yep. that's what they are (green button polyps)!
Used to be called Protopalythoa spp., but now the scientists are calling Palythoa spp.
High in toxins and strong holders, like 650-IS350 said.
Better to have them on their own piece of rock!
Many people have them growing among Zoanthus and other zoanthids without problems for long time, but if you want to remove them one day you'll be very busy for a while! LOL!!!
Some of them are big, looking almost like P. grandis, and they release slime too.

Nice greens!!

Grandis.
