Unsafe Sillicone

I just noticed i used unsafe sillicone on my sump/refugium:headwalls:. It is a 55gal sump under my 125. i just started it up days ago. Is ther any fix or do i have to drain it all and start over?!

Please help im new lol

You should be ok. Just move them to a bucket or bin until the tank is re siliconed. The general consensus is that you can use the clear GE Silcone 1 for Windows and Doors with no fungicide. You can find this at Home Depot or Lowes. Best of luck.

I used aquarium silicone before in my sump and it had a pink slime grow on it. It ended up being ok, but I was nervous cause I thought I was going to have major issues. I think the big thing is with whatever they add into to make it mildew resistant can harm over time.

Well I have had it cycling less than a week so I'm going to redo it. Better safe than sorry.
