Does anyone know anything about Lobophora (brown encrusing plate algae)? I have it developing on my LR and it looks terrible. I spent the other weekend taking most of it off only to have it all develop again.

I had it on my LR in my tank before I broke it down for moving. I'd just prune it by hand every couple of months. I agree that it isn't pretty, but I don't know of any way to get rid of it.
I'd imagine that it would respond to the normal methods of keeping algae growth in check: RO/DI water, phosphate binders, good skimming, not overfeeding, etc.
