unusual fish friendships

What are some of the fish you have that have formed unusual friendships with each other? It seems my Clown and Royal Gramma are the best of buds. They are always swimming with each other. The Gramma is much smaller then the Clown, and it almost seems like the Clown likes to watch over him.

my kole tang and my red velvet fairy wrasse are never far apart. wonder if these sorts of things ever happen in the wild. :)

My clown tang hangs out with Bangaii Cardinal day and night-usually swims in circles around him,and my sailfin-tang stocks hermit crabs:he turns all dark, almost black, and creeps behind them especially when they are on the sand bed.If i walk into the room he immediately turns into his normal striped colors and swims like he wasn't doing anything wrong ...

LOL, my Gramma likes to pick at my hermit crabs too. If they are crawling on the rock that his cave is in, he swims at them full speed and knocks them off.

LOL. My pearly jawfish hates hermits-it is so funny to watch though...if they come close to his burrow-he gets so mad -grabs them in his mouth and spits them out away from his home...

At least he spits them out, and doesn't eat them. I had to return a pink spotted watchgoby for that reason. He was killing all my hermits and collecting there shells in a giant burrow.

My diamond watchman goby opens its mouth for the cleaner shrimp to clean inside. I knew the yellow gobies did this with a pistol, but have never heard if these two types pairing up before.

My lubbock wrasse hovers right under my gold head as he filters the sand and lets the sand fall on him. they do spend a lot of time swimming around together.

I have a foxface that always followed around a Blonde Naso I had. My wife used to joke that "Foxy" was "Blondie's" heavy. :spin1: Anyway, I had to rehome the Blonde Naso due to fighting with a PBT, and the foxface has just been moping around the tank ever since. I guess in hindsight I should have sold them as "a pair".

Well this is not two fish, but my engineer goby and brittle star have shared homes in 3 different tanks no so I no longer think it is coincidence.
