Update: More MP-40 problems

Not sure why the other thread was closed,
But I wanted to provide an update.

I was happy the Alex finally reached out to me in regards to a faulty MP-40.
They were not willing to replace to product even though it was less that 3 weeks old and spent less than 3 hours in the water.

Anyways long story short. I purchased it from a LFS and took it back to them. The took it out of the box and tested it on their tank. They switched out the wet side and were able to align it. They hooked me up with one from their tanks while they monitored it. Today I heard back and they told me that their wet side solved to problem.

Sounds like I'll have to buy a new wet side but at least this is over.

Wish EcoTech would have offered to send new wet side.

pretty sure there's a 1 year warranty on vortech pumps because I did get my pump fixed for free within that time frame.

I agree with you completely. At 3 weeks old your product should have fallen under manufacture warrantee at the least IMO. I have the MP10ES and thankfully did not have this problem. Anyway, good luck with your pump. For what it's worth, they are cool nifty pumps..... give um a chance. You know what they say "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me"

I just reread what I posted and am horrified by my typo's. Can I blame them on the Iphone?

Anyways, EcoTech has not responded to my emails in request to have a new wet side sent. Hopefully they do. I will update once/if I do hear back from them unless the thread gets closed.
