Update on my Picassos from Doni

I got these guys from Donisreef back in may(great CS BTW) and thought I'd post an update.
I'm also going to show the color change that has occurred especially noticeable in the male, from orange to black, and then back to orange from what I'm guessing is due to BTA as host, resulting in loss of some black.
This is today;

So, this is the day they came in.
For size ref, that hose is 1", and that cont is directly on top of pump, so good ref to size at delivery.

These pics were taken maybe 3 months ago, and this was right at intro of first BTA.
Black on males crown is pretty dark here.

if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay? I am thinking about going through doni for a pair as well. and how was the service in your opinion?

I got these in such a random way.
I posted a euroreef skimmer for sale on here, and was offered a trade by someone.
My response was the ONLY thing that would even interest me in trade would be a pair of picassos, and even said I doubt I'm going to find that trade here.
The very next post was Doni, offering a special hand picked pair of her best picassos to trade.
That was at about 2-3 in the afternoon here, they were bagged about 9-10 that very night, and on my porch before 10am next am.
I have to say I was seriously impressed, and absolutely ecstatic on the quality of picassos she picked for me, just could not have been better!
If you read her site, you'll see she goes above and beyond to ensure the health of her picassos, so she couldn't possibly get a higher rating for CS from me.
Check her site for yourself and to see prices, and check the WYSIWYG vids for each picasso/pair.

ive been looking at the site, but currently she has nothing listed besides grade c clowns, which i dont want. I want grade a but b's will do if they look how I'd like them to. Ive emailed her to ask when she will have no livestock up for sale, so I guess im stuck waiting for her reply

They have colored up very nicely, Dave. I have heard nothing but good things about Doni's fish, I will be getting my next pair from her for sure.

Are those considered her grade A's?

You know, I have mixed feelings on gradings, don't like to feel like I'm judging anyone elses babies, but I guess it's a necessary evil to kinda define what you want.
Honestly, I've seen alot of B's I like much better than some A's
C's just don't seem to have the random pattern enough for my taste, which is the real draw for me.
I personally would have waited for Doni, which kinda trips me that they came to me literally overnight on a whim.

Thanks, and yes, the female is a grade A, and the male is what I believe to be ID'd as a snowcasso.
He's very close IMO to being called a snowflake, but I think his crown eliminates him from that ID...I think...

ya, i know what you mean. my LFS has quite a few ORA "b's" but they still look just as awesome, the only real differance Ive seen is the "snowcasso" or "platnum" picasso, which I understand why it costs more. I am honestly totally fine with a grade b or a, but as you said, i am looking for more of an unconventional stripe pattern, and the c just doesnt have it for me.

There's a difference, IMO from current ORA's to current Doni's. I much prefer the Doni's. Snow's are just rarer Picasso's - same offspring.

Want even more of an unconventional stripe? Get a Wyoming White/Platinum. No stripes at all. :lolspin:

Clay - she usually updates her site Saturday nights. And if you haven't heard from her already, that's surprising. She responds very quickly.
