Update on newly adopted carpet nem

He's moved himself to the center of the glass. Hasn't moved much since, but he is looking great. Color today is amazing.
I hope it's not moving into "fish capturing" location.

He's back in the corner.. and looking oh so good.
What a awesome specimen. I keep saying it, but I'm really enjoying bringing this guy back to life.

Loving it!!

Yes, he is looking good and healthy, nice color too. he will be a fine place for some clowns to move in. hope everything goes well for you!

He's really looking good. So, are their some clowns in his future?

I have a single snowflake clown. Been waiting to get my wife to the lfs to pick out a little clown for him ton pair up with.

Quite annoying that he has chosen the patch of pink and gold palys on the opposite side of the tank to be his host.
I've been trying to figure out how to get him away from the palys and over by the nem.
I was also think maybe if I got him anot her clown, they would find the nem.

Thanks for the compliments as well.

You may want to keep an eye on that cyano breakout. That stuff is nasty and difficult at times to remove. It could be an indication that your MH bulb needs to be replaced (not sure how long it's been or your situation). It will consume the o2 in the tank if it spreads and becomes to invasive. Keep an eye on it and your carpet looks to be recovering well. Good luck

Thanks. Sharp eye has been in the cyano. Been dealing with it for a while now. Comes and goes. I try to keep my tank loaded with oxygen. Drain is a few inches about water in sump creating a lot of oxygen, RO skimmer in the sump, return line is cresting the water to keep air bubbles flowing in, and wp40 is aimed at the surface to keep surface agitated.
Just changed all 3 mh bulbs about 2 months ago maybe. I'd have to check the date I labeled on the boxes. Maybe even beginning of August i did that.
Appreciate the advice and concern, sincerely.

Thanks for the nem compliments as well.

Soooo, how's that nem doing?

Hey, sorry no recent update. Personal life has been really crazy. Had to divert all my attention to my family for the past month or so.
However, I don't think I would have a good photo update anyhow. A few weeks ago, the nem went on the move and shimmied himself around the corner of the overflow towards the back wall. He stopped at a small rock against the wall and has positioned himself directly behind the biggest rock in the tank.. I can see maybe 10% of his body, but still looks good, coloring up even more and I see just enough to be able to drop a piece of squid on him and make sure he eats it.
I'm not gonna move him, but maybe when I'm home tomorrow I'll put my phone in the tank and get a good underwater shot (phone is waterproof).
I'll do that regardless because Im as curious as you guys as to how he's looking.
He's out in the open, just blocked from my view.
Hopefully Monday photo update tomorrow. :)

Ok so things have gotten very interesting as of today.
I haven't been able to update as mentioned above, between personal stuff and the nem being on the back wall, but today I was quite surprised.
The nem was hanging out in the back wall for a while, then jump over and was hanging out against the large rock that was blocking my view. I was able to see him somewhat better still and feed him so all was well.
As I was just feeding the tank, I went to check in him and give him a chunk of squid... and he was... well.. gone.
Looked all over, very puzzled. Then I saw a small piece o him juuuust sticking out of the backside of the rock.

The nem has squoze(real word?) himself into the rock!?
A piece of him the size of a nickel is hanging out.
What the heck do I do now?
I'm assuming if he gets hungry he'll eventually come out, but then again, when I first saw him, he was buried under rock, stark white and small.
Maybe he'll never come out. :(
I didn't want to put a piece of squid on the exposed part because I don't want him to think he's going to get food while stuck in there.
I'm pretty sure a little red emerald crab lives in that rock... they don't eat carpet anemones do they?
What... the... heck.

Nem was about halfway out of the rock today. Guess he's just exploring.
Hopefully he continues the direction he's going and slides around to the front.

Nem finally moved to the front of the tank today.
Hes looking good. Glad I'll be able to feed him easily now.
Hopefully he likes this spot for a while.

Didn't do a zoomed out shot because honestly I'm a little embarrassed by the amount of cyano in my tank. Personal life has been pretty insane lately so my tank is suffering from some neglect. Thankfully all of my livestock appear happy and healthy, including corals.

Here some shots of the nem. Halides only.

Anybody able to identify what type of nem it is? At first I was thinking Haddoni, but it's looking more like a gigantea (sp?)
Just curious.
Thanks
