Comments, suggestions?

Nice. No major algae problems yet. Better yet, no sign of hydroids on yer rocks... :D

Any fish you add would love all those hiding places. If you haven't already done it, I would make sure those rocks are secured to one another somehow to prevent a cave-in. Rocks on poles make me nervous... :)

thanks for all your supportive comments and advice, since I been a lurker on here I learned so much from you all.. couldnt have done it without you helpful folks...
I want to get some mushroom corals, more softies, more zoas, and if it is possible, a brain coral, but i dont think my VHOs will support it, what do you think? As for fish ,maybe a tang or something colorful.
Think I should use the putty or ziptie it for stability on the rocks?
I love the ozonator, I got the redsea setup wiht drier and ORP contorller and it really makes the water clear, I will post more pics of the equipment cabinet and under the stand area.
My ORP levels are steadily climbing, now 314mv. My phosphates hit a spike so I put some phosban in a bad and run that in my little reactore in sump tower. Im going to dredge out the bottom of my wet dry bio ball stack as i can see a film of mulm there sitting at the bottom of the sump tank floor.
Nitrates are still cycling although they peaked at 10ppm now down to 5ppm. Waiting to zero out and stabilize before I get any more polyps.

I will suggest that you remove that little tuft of algae before it spreads thorough your tank. imo:bum:

i dunno, but i started out wiht a big clump of it, and i noticed my turbos gliding around on it, and its now down to 1/4 of its size

I think VHO's should be plenty fine in that size tank for any of those corals... :D Brains and softies are fairly low maintanence hardy corals to keep in a reef... :D

Something colorfull yes... Tangs no... IMO a 33g is going to be too small for a tang once it grows up... Unless you plan to buy a new tank for it... Ask EvilMel... She's up to a pretty good sized tank for her Naso tang... lol :D

Yeah totally...I would say that tangs, even baby ones are OUT for a tank that size. What about gobies? They are really really neat and you can have quite a few of them in there and still have a low bioload.

Gobies rock!

Oh and yeah...240g/8' long tank so my naso can outgrow it in a few years. I actually made a HUGE mistake in purchasing her before I really realized the size tank I would need to house her as an adult. That's always a NO NO. BUT...since I want to be a responsible pet owner, I'm just moving up in my tank size every few years (and not feeding her as much as she wants). I don't think anyone wants to hear my tang rant.

hah hah, yeah, Liveaquaria is pretty good. I like that they routinely have green banded gobies (aka limestripe gobies). They also will have some combination of red headed, neon, golden neon, clown, and watchman gobies at any given time. I mean you may not be able to find all of the gobies you are looking for, but they certainly do have a really decent amount of them.

It depends on their size and habitats occupied, but probably at least 15 of the nano-sized gobies (red head, neon, green banded, eviota, clown). It would depend on the ones you choose as well.

Like you wouldn't want more than like 2 neons in one tank (or even 2 clown gobies) but I have housed 7 green banded gobies in a 135 for a long period of time (til frigging ich took them out...absolutely STAY AWAY from Catalina gobies). I bet no one wants to hear my Catalina Goby rant either.

Oh and I don't know about goby/pseudochromis compatibility.

I think everybody is a little confused on the size of your tank it is a 125 right? It has been up for 33 days its not a 33 gallon, haha. You would be fine if you wanted a tang if this is this case. maybe not a Naso but certainly some of the smaller ones. not to call anybody out or anything = )

yeah it is definately a 125 gallon tank, and an 18 gallon sump, im bummed about losing my anemone, i wonder if it was that healthy to begin with, i got it at Aquarium there on Papermill, have you alll ever gotten an anemone from them and have it survive? the fish are fine...

I have yet to see an anenome in there that looked very good. I don't know what it is but a lot of anenomes you see in pet stores aren't all that great, thats not to say they don't get nice ones I just have never seen one worth buying.

Anemones need a lot of light, slow acclimation, and a good well established system (most people say wait 6 months+). They are not easy to keep, but once established, they can live forever.

I agree that you could easily keep one of the smaller tangs like a yellow. The anemone looked bleached in your pic so I wouldn't doubt that it was unhealthy. I would get rid of the bioballs, you don't need them.
