Are you sure you downloaded the correct file? I notice that there are 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 all in the download section; is it possible that you downloaded the 3.2 version?

You are updating the web pages not the firmware in the controller. Follow the instructions in the first half of the readme.txt.

that is what i am doing
********************************************************************************
*
* Updating the AquaController's Firmware
*
********************************************************************************

Follow these steps to update:

Extract the files in the zip file into a new directory. Run the ac3loader.exe application.

On the DHCP Setup tab:
Make the IP pool starting address an unused IP address on your local
network (usually something like 192.168.1.50).
Set the netmask (usually 255.255.255.0)
Make the size of pool equal to 1 or more.
Set the boot file to aqua.bin

In the readme are instructions to start the firmware download; it isn't the same operation as the web pages; you need to press buttons on the AC to start the firmware download.

Don't mean to hijack but here is the instructions everyone is refering to.

Then restart the AquaController 3 by power cycling.
Press the select button and hold down during the Memory Test, when the display goes blank
release the select button.
Scroll to the update flash entry and press select
You should see several dots appear in the status text box as the firmware is downloaded.
After the download go to the selftest screen of the AquaController. The firmware version should
be 3.30 with a date of 8/21/07.

I have tried this as well and get no dots in the display screen.
